DialoguePerspectives participated in the 2024 Alumni Meeting of Start Alumni e.V. We hosted a session where we presented the programme and conducted a workshop with the participants on the topic “Reflecting Crises – Fostering Collaborative Action”. The aim was to emphasise dialogue as a method. Current crises such as the climate crisis, geopolitical conflicts, the growing right-wing shift and the rise of ethno-nationalism etc. highlight the need for collective action and open dialogue. In this session we also explored the elements of effective communication in times of crisis, especially in a poly-crisis. We recognised that a poly-crisis, which involves several interrelated problems, requires a nuanced approach. It is important to consider the convergence of our crisis experiences and to create space for constructive dialogue.
˝As an academic studying religious pluralism, I experienced a very warm and welcoming environment in the DialoguePerspectives programme. I learned a great deal from open-minded people from so many diverse backgrounds. DialoguePerspectives is truly pluralism in practice!
