On December 8th 2019, the final workshop of our Muslim-Jewish think tank Karov-Qareeb took place in Berlin, where the participants presented the work results of the first year.
It was a successful afternoon with exciting insights into the work of Karov-Qareeb. The participants reported about their motivation to get involved in the think tank, common goals, the topics and questions they would like to work on and how the space for such an exchange has to be designed.
Karov-Qareeb – this much became clear – has created such a space this year, in which the participants can continue and intensify their work in the future. We are looking forward to the next steps in the coming year and to expanding Karov-Qareeb together with the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk and the Avicenna-Studienwerk under the umbrella of DialoguePerspectives.
Many thanks to all participants for their commitment, to all guests yesterday evening for their interest and the exciting discussions and to State Secretary Gerry Woop and the Berlin Senate Administration for their support!
˝As an academic studying religious pluralism, I experienced a very warm and welcoming environment in the DialoguePerspectives programme. I learned a great deal from open-minded people from so many diverse backgrounds. DialoguePerspectives is truly pluralism in practice!
