Nour al-Huda Schröter

Nour al-Huda Zaynab Schröter is studying Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University College Freiburg. Her academic focus is on Art History from a post-colonial perspective with a special interest in the place of religion in contemporary Art. Having spent parts of her studies in Malaysia and Turkey, she is engaging in questions on secularism, liberalism and Islamic traditions in a global context. Besides her studies, she has been active in various initiatives, student associations and projects on Islam and Muslim Youth in Germany. She is a scholarship holder of the Avicenna Studienwerk. Growing up in interreligious contexts, she has always been fascinated by the role of religion on the individual and society and joined DialoguePerspectives in 2018 and 2020. In the programme year 2022/23 she is one of the four DialoguePerspectives inter / religious / worldview advisors.

I attended several academic conferences on interreligious dialogue in the past, but I've never found a group like the one of DialoguePerspectives, that perfectly matches secularism with religions.
