Andrea Pető ist Professorin für Neuere Geschichte am Institut für Geschlechterforschung der Central European University in Budapest, Ungarn, und Mitglied der Ungarischen Akademie der Wissenschaften. Ihre wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten wurden in siebzehn Sprachen übersetzt. 2018 erhielt sie den „Madame de Staël“-Preis für kulturelle Werte der All European Academies.
Andrea Pető is Professor in the Department of Gender Studies at Central European University, Vienna, Austria and a Doctor of Science of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Her works on gender, politics, Holocaust and war have been translated into 23 languages. In 2018 she was awarded the 2018 All European Academies (ALLEA) Madame de Staël Prize for Cultural Values. She is Doctor Honoris Causa of Södertörn University, Stockholm, Sweden.
˝The programme makes possible something that is all too rare in our society these days: speaking and having discussions across borders, not about each other, but with each other. That can be a hard slog at times, but at the same time the format makes space for follow-up questions and deeper conversations that are only possible through trust on all sides.
