On November 10, 2023, the four-hour workshop “Networking on Pluralistic Culture of Remembrance” took place at the Brunnenpassage, a laboratory for transcultural art, in Vienna. The event was a cooperation between Brunnenpassage, Schauspielhaus Wien and the Coalition for Pluralistic Public Discourse (CPPD). The workshop served as a forum for exchange between experts who are professionally involved in the fields of journalism, art, science, social and psychosocial work and activism with forms of pluralistic remembrance.
After an introduction and presentation of the participants, table discussions took place around the four thematic islands “Art and cultural events”, “Educational work and institutions”, “Public remembrance – urban space and social media” and “Discourse in science and media”. The workshop was moderated by CPPD member Hannan Salamat. Elisabeth Bernroitner and Zuzana Ernst (Brunnenpassage) as well as Nina Prader (Lady Liberty Press, CPPD) and Tobias Herzberg (Schauspielhaus Wien, CPPD) acted as hosts.
We would like to thank everyone involved for this successful networking meeting and for working together on a pluralistic culture of remembrance!
